“I grew up writing poetry and came of age in a thriving spoken word scene. At 11, my beautiful singer-songwriter aunt taught me to play the guitar and to write down my first songs. Meanwhile, dance married me more and more to rhythm, leading me to play the drums and to produce beats. Fast-forward to an inspiring collaboration with a producer whose seasoned ear has helped to create a collection of music with plenty of bump for the dance floor. Our hope is that the joyful perfume of these song-blooms helps to balance the scales between a heart and a feather.”
